One of the few full-service flower essences stores in the world, Audrey's Good Vibrations used to be an oasis on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, California. The store was housed in former beach bungalow and stocked almost every flower essence brand in existence. Store workers would be available for on-the-spot free consultations to help you select which essences you needed. The store was always filled with people, the best people, and the bright energy in there was palpable.

Sadly, Audrey's Good Vibrations closed in the mid-2000s due to a rent increase. I was devastated - this was a place I used to go to when I was feeling down or needed a pick-me-up. While Bach Flower Essences are somewhat easily found in a big city such as Los Angeles, I knew of no other store that carried the variety of essences Audrey's used to carry. Going online was not the same; if you wanted different brands you'd have to visit a bunch of different websites and pay for separate shipping and handling fees, and wait for days or weeks to receive the bottles.

Thus, the idea for virtual flower essences was born out of a desire to have flower essences easily accessible again. With virtual flower essences, you can receive the flower essence energy immediately without having to wait for a bottle to be shipped. You can create formulas of essences without being constricted by what brand is available at your local health food store.

I'm not trying to put regular flower essences out of business. On the contrary: I believe that the more people realize how wonderful flower essences are, the bigger the market there will be for them. And I have included a directory of traditional flower essence manufacturers for those who want to receive a flower essence in a bottled form.

Still, I hope that the concept of "virtual flower essences" takes off, so that we can share these lovely energies around the world without having to pick one single flower.
